Bicycle rush hour

Rush hour in the Netherlands on a typical Wed. at around 8:30 am.

Notice how well the roads are laid out for cyclists. Cyclists are generally separated from motorists. There are many bike paths and most of them have slight turns to them which allows you to keep pedaling at full speed.

The Netherlands has more bikes than people! There is something like 1.11 bikes per person. A big reason for this is the great roadways dedicated to cyclists.
